From Passion to Purpose

Gio's Gelato Cafe was founded by Rocco Giovaniello, a former chemist who transformed his passion for food into a culinary dream. In 2010, Rocco opened the doors to what would become Port Jervis's beloved gathering spot, bringing authentic Italian tradition to the local community.

Named in honor of Rocco's father, Isidore "Gio" Giovaniello, our café reflects the personal and heartfelt nature of family tradition. Every recipe, every flavor, and every creation carries the warmth of family heritage and the dedication to quality that defines us.

What started as a humble 1,200-square-foot space has grown into a 4,000-square-foot destination on Front Street—a testament to the love and support from our Port Jervis community and the countless visitors who have made Gio's a part of their celebrations and daily lives.
